The Welsh Part-Bred Horse Group (In association with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society) is addressing the task of promoting the breading and registration of the Welsh Part-Bred Horse (minimum 12.5% registered Welsh blood and over 14.2 hh) as a ridden British Competition Horse.
To encourage the registration and permit the easier identification of Welsh Part-Bred Horses competing in National and International Competitions, the Welsh Part-Bred Horse Group has formulated a series of Awards, the aim of which is to promote the Welsh Part-Bred Horse in OPEN competition at all times as the :-

Welsh Part-Bred Horses can be registered at any age. The breeders and owner’s signatures are required; and a Stallion Service Certificate must be provided if any of the Welsh Blood comes from the sire. If the animal is a gelding, a certificate of castration signed by a Veterinary Surgeon must be provided.
